Teenyday privacy policy
Last updated: 13 September 2026
This standalone policy covers the Teenyday iPhone and iPad app, teenyday.com and its support and privacy pages on cleveriterations.com.
Android edition and Google Play
Updated 22 September 2026. This policy also covers the Android edition. References to Apple, iCloud, AirPrint and iPhone controls below describe the iPhone/iPad edition. The following platform differences apply on Android; our website, support and privacy-rights sections apply to both editions.
Android plans, child profiles and imported photos stay in the app’s private local storage. The system photo picker grants access to the individual images you select. The app creates a resized JPEG copy without copying the original EXIF or location metadata; photos are centre-cropped for the page layout. Android’s print service handles printing and Save as PDF. Only exports you initiate are shared outside the app. Android backup of this app’s local data is disabled. Uninstalling removes editable plans and imported photos; PDFs saved elsewhere remain separate.
Google Play Billing obtains product prices and checks the Family toolkit purchase. The app stores a signed purchase receipt locally so verified access can continue offline, and checks/acknowledges purchases with Google Play when connected. We do not send plans, photos, receipts or purchase tokens to a Clever Iterations server. Google processes account, transaction, payment and diagnostic information under its own terms and privacy policy, and may provide store reports to us. We do not receive your card details or Google password. Google operates globally, including in the United States. Purchases do not transfer between Apple and Google stores; Apple Family Sharing does not apply to Google Play purchases.
In the Android edition, open Toolkit → Help & privacy → Delete all local data to remove plans, profiles, imported photos and recovery copies. Deleting local data does not cancel or refund a Google Play purchase.
Billing data sent to Google. The Google Play Billing library sends purchase information needed to query, acknowledge and restore access, and technical billing diagnostics such as API results, errors, app and library versions, Android version and a randomly generated billing-session identifier. These transmissions support purchase functionality and diagnosis and improvement of billing performance. The session identifier is not an advertising ID. Billing checks can run when the app opens or resumes, not only at checkout; there is no in-app switch to disable the library’s diagnostics. Purchases remain optional.
Billing information is transmitted to Google using encrypted connections. It does not include your plans, photos or story choices. We do not operate a billing-data server or use this information for advertising. Google processes and retains its billing and diagnostic records under its own policies. Deleting local app data does not delete Google-held purchase or diagnostic records; we cannot offer an in-app deletion control for those records. You can use Google’s privacy controls and contact Google about information it holds. You can contact our Privacy Officer about information held by Clever Iterations.
1. ABOUT THIS POLICY
(a)Teenyday is provided by Clever Iterations Pty Ltd (ABN 19 695 039 019), New South Wales, Australia (Clever Iterations, we, us or our).
(b)This Privacy Policy explains how:
(i)the Teenyday app for iPhone and iPad (App) creates and stores family routines and generates printable PDFs on your device;
(ii)we handle personal information that we receive through Apple services, support communications and the Teenyday website; and
(iii)you can contact us about your personal information or make a privacy complaint.
(c)We are responsible for personal information that we receive and control. Where applicable data-protection law uses the term controller, we are the controller of that information. Apple and other third parties may separately handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.
(d)We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act) and the Australian Privacy Principles set out in that Act (the Australian Privacy Principles). Where applicable law in another jurisdiction imposes additional requirements, including the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR and UK GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA), we will comply with those requirements in relation to personal information we hold about individuals located in those jurisdictions.
(e)This Policy applies to Teenyday. Where this Policy is inconsistent with the Clever Iterations Privacy Policy that applies across our other products, this Policy prevails in relation to Teenyday.
2. PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Teenyday creates printable family routine pages on your device. Through these functions, Clever Iterations does not receive your charts, activity wording, child profiles, names, selected photos, page preferences or exported PDFs and text (your content).
The app has no Teenyday account, registration, cloud sync or developer-operated content storage. It contains no advertising or third-party crash-reporting SDKs, and we do not track how you use your plans. Android Google Play billing diagnostics are described above; these are separate from analytics operated by Clever Iterations.
Teenyday does not perform AI processing of your content, use it to train AI or machine-learning models, or send it to an AI provider.
3. HOW THE APP PROCESSES YOUR CONTENT
Teenyday saves charts, activity wording, optional child profiles, names, selected photos and page preferences locally on your device. Child profiles organise your pages; they are not login accounts. The free allowance lets you save up to seven shared daily routines and edit or print them repeatedly without an app account or purchase.
When you select a photo using Apple’s photo picker, the app imports a resized, newly encoded copy for your pages. It does not copy the original photo’s location, EXIF or camera metadata into that copy. You can keep the whole photo within its square frame or choose a centre crop when importing it. Header photos have a round frame. The original stays in your photo library.
When you choose to print or share, the generated PDF or text contains the chart details and any names or photos you included (an output). The printer, app, person or storage service you choose receives that output. Review the full output before sharing. Newly generated PDFs may contain ordinary document metadata; removing source-photo metadata does not make visible names or photos anonymous.
Your device, file-storage provider and backup settings control storage and backup outside Teenyday. Device backups may include your local Teenyday data. Teenyday does not provide its own cloud synchronisation service or delete originals, exports or backups held elsewhere.
4. APP PERMISSIONS
Teenyday uses Apple’s photo picker when you choose an individual photo, and Apple’s sharing and printing interfaces when you export a page. Access through the photo picker is limited to the images you choose; the app does not request access to your entire photo library, camera, microphone, contacts or location.
These system features are used to provide the functions you request. Apple’s operation of its pickers, printing, sharing, storage and permission settings also applies.
5. INFORMATION WE MAY RECEIVE
(a)Apple services and purchases. If you download or purchase Teenyday through the Apple App Store, Apple may process information about your Apple Account, storefront, transaction, download, device and use of Apple services under Apple's terms and privacy policy.
(b)We do not receive your payment-card details from Apple.
(c)Apple may provide us with aggregate App Store information and, depending on your Apple settings and Apple's services, crash or diagnostic information. Diagnostic information may include technical information such as the App version, device model, operating-system version, error time and information about an App failure.
(d)Support and privacy communications. If you contact us, we may receive:
(i)your name, email address and other contact details;
(ii)the content of your message;
(iii)files or screenshots that you choose to provide; and
(iv)technical information that you provide about your device, operating system or App version.
(e)Please do not send us unredacted confidential or sensitive content unless it is necessary for us to address your request and you have authority to provide it.
(f)Teenyday website. The Teenyday landing page and support/privacy pages do not use client-side analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. When you select an App Store link, it may pass through a first-party redirect that is logged in aggregate to operate and measure the website; it uses no pixel, cookie or client-side analytics.
(g)The website's hosting infrastructure may process standard request information, such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp and security-event information, to deliver and protect the website and maintain operational logs.
(h)Teenyday's primary website server is a Linode virtual private server located in Sydney, Australia.
Apple processes the one-time Family toolkit purchase and purchase restoration. Teenyday checks Apple’s verified purchase entitlement on your device. We do not upload that entitlement or your purchase history to a developer-operated server.
6. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
(a)We may use information that we receive to:
(i)provide and support Teenyday;
(ii)respond to questions, support requests, privacy requests and complaints;
(iii)investigate crashes, faults, misuse and security incidents;
(iv)maintain, secure and improve the App and website;
(v)manage App Store distribution, transactions and reporting;
(vi)comply with legal obligations and protect our lawful rights; and
(vii)complete a corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections.
(b)We do not use information for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.
(c)We do not sell your content or other personal information.
(d)Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on one or more of:
(i)performing our agreement with you or taking steps at your request;
(ii)our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting and improving Teenyday, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
(iii)compliance with a legal obligation; and
(iv)your consent, where we ask for it.
(e)We do not use contact details provided for a support request, privacy request or complaint for direct marketing unless you separately ask to receive product updates or otherwise consent.
7. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
(a)We may disclose personal information that we receive to:
(i)service providers that host or secure the Teenyday website, provide email and support systems, store business records or provide professional and technical services;
(ii)Apple, where necessary to manage App Store distribution, support, technical issues or a transaction;
(iii)our professional advisers, insurers and auditors;
(iv)a regulator, law-enforcement body, court or other person where required or authorised by law; and
(v)a buyer, investor or successor in connection with a proposed or completed sale, merger, restructure or transfer of all or part of our business or assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections.
(b)We require service providers that handle personal information for us to protect it and use it only for the services they provide, subject to applicable law.
(c)Apple collects and processes information independently when it provides the App Store and related Apple services. Apple's privacy policy governs that processing.
8. OVERSEAS PROCESSING AND DISCLOSURE
(a)The Teenyday website is hosted in Australia as described in clause 5(h). Apple and some other service providers that support App Store distribution, email, support, security, professional services or business administration may process or store personal information outside Australia.
(b)Apple is located in the United States and is likely to process personal information in the United States and in other countries in which it operates. Our other service providers are likely to process personal information in Australia and the United States, and in other jurisdictions where our global providers operate.
(c)Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable steps to ensure that an overseas recipient protects personal information in a manner consistent with applicable privacy requirements.
9. RETENTION AND DELETION
We do not hold content or outputs kept solely on your device and cannot retrieve or delete those files remotely. You control local content through the app and control exports and backups through the relevant device or service.
Deleted charts can be restored from Recently deleted for up to 24 hours. Expired copies are removed when the app checks that folder. Recovery copies help protect against interrupted saves.
To remove charts, profiles, selected photos, recently deleted charts and recovery copies from the app, open Settings & help → Delete all local data. Uninstalling also removes the app’s local data, although device backups and exports elsewhere may retain copies. Deleting app data does not cancel or refund a purchase.
We retain support communications, diagnostic information and business records only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate an issue, maintain security, comply with law and resolve disputes.
We retain website security and request logs only for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the website. Logs are rotated daily with 14 rotations retained; a longer period may be needed for a security incident or legal obligation.
When information we hold is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable legal and technical requirements. You may request deletion by contacting us. We assess requests under applicable law and may retain information where required by law or a lawful exception applies.
10. SECURITY
(a)Teenyday reduces data-transfer risk by performing its core routine-making and PDF-generation functions on your device.
(b)We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures to protect personal information that we receive against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
(c)No technical system can guarantee absolute security. You should protect your device and accounts, review each output before sharing it and use appropriate device, storage and backup controls.
(d)We maintain processes to assess and respond to suspected data breaches affecting personal information that we hold. If a breach must be notified under applicable law, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and, where applicable, the relevant EU or UK supervisory authority, as soon as practicable after we become aware of the breach. Where notification to a supervisory authority is required under the GDPR or UK GDPR, we will notify within 72 hours where feasible.
11. CHILDREN AND FAMILY INFORMATION
Teenyday is an adult-operated tool for parents, guardians and other authorised caregivers to create printable routines. Children can follow the printed pages without an app account or device.
An adult may choose to store a child’s first name or nickname, photo and routines in a local child profile. Unlike a login account, this profile is saved on the device and is not registered with or uploaded to Clever Iterations. We do not receive this information through the app’s routine-making functions.
The adult using the app is responsible for having authority to use names, photos and other information, and for deciding whether and with whom to share printed or exported pages. Consider using a nickname and sharing only the details needed.
Please avoid sending children’s photos or personal routine details to support. A description or redacted example is usually sufficient. If you believe we have received personal information from a child in circumstances where we should not hold it, please contact us.
12. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
(a)Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have a right to:
(i)ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it;
(ii)request correction or deletion;
(iii)object to or request restriction of processing;
(iv)receive certain information in a portable form;
(v)withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
(vi)complain to a privacy or data-protection authority.
(b)You may exercise a right by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
(c)You may deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym where practicable, although this may limit our ability to investigate or respond to your request.
13. PRIVACY COMPLAINTS
(a)To make a privacy complaint, please contact us and describe the issue. We aim to acknowledge the complaint within 5 business days and provide a substantive response within 30 days, subject to any different period required by applicable law.
(b)If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact:
(i)the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au;
(ii)the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk;
(iii)a supervisory authority in the EU Member State in which you live or work, or in which the alleged infringement occurred; or
(iv)another privacy or data-protection regulator that has jurisdiction in your location.
14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
(a)We may update this Policy if Teenyday's functions, data practices or legal obligations change.
(b)We will publish the updated Policy and its effective date. If a material change affects how we collect, use or disclose personal information, we will, where reasonably practicable, give at least 30 days' notice through the App, our website or App Store release information before the change takes effect. We may give shorter notice where reasonably necessary to address an urgent legal, security or technical issue. We will obtain consent where required by applicable law.
